Snowy Plover Freehand Machine Embroidered portrait

This bird portrait has been created by free hand stitching on a sewing machine! Otherwise, I draw with my sewing machine. There is absolutely No programing involved. I draw each portrait first as an ink drawing, and use that to trace guidelines of the image on the canvas using a fabric marker that fades or washes away. Stitched in black on heavy duty cotton duck canvas fabric and is stretched in a 6” wooden embroidery hoop, ready to hang! Canvas is adhered with heavy duty two sided tape. If the hoop warps and the canvas becomes uptight, you can pull away and re-stretch with the tape.

Each portrait is signed and dated along with the name of bird on the inside of the embroidery hoop.

This portrait is in an 6” hoop or can be framed in a black round picture frame.
Canvas is stretched and attached with double stick tape to a 6” wooden disc then backed and glued to another 6” wooden disc. Framed in an embroidery hoop. Back has bird name, signed and dated. A Metal D-ring is then attached for hanging.
