If a Woodcock Could, a Woodcock Would 3, Postal Pillow


Postal Pillows are a new collection that helps me branch across my maker self to my artistic painter self. I've been quite divided between the two and this COVID, 2020 year has gotten me to embrace my artistic voice and put it more in my functional and fine art pieces.

This series is in collaboration with another Baltimore based artist, Matt Muirhead, who has been silkscreening mailboxes on fabric for a mailing project. Each of these pillows has his silkscreened mailbox as a central focus for each. I've added the bird-women, birds, and felt appliques, in which I have created using freehand machine stitching.

The felt "drawings" are part of my artistic vocabulary that helps communicate what I am feeling while also presenting the viewer to use their own interpretation. I am trying to speak up for nature, our birds, our climate, and our valuable postal system!!

These can be used to scream or cry into! I think we all need these days.

A percentage of the proceeds are going towards supporting our postal system, which is how it will get delivered to you, plus the ACLU will help to protect our workers and social value systems as well as our humanity. I also donate to the Audobon society as well as help out volunteer with Lights Out Baltimore.

Each pillow is framed with complementary piping, and a hidden zipper to remove the high-quality pillow form.

“If a Woodcock Could, a Woodcock Would” postal pillow features all linework by freehand machine stitching except the mailbox, that is silkscreen. Measuring 20” x 20” the front and back fabric is a blue gray wood grain pattern on cream.
The pink flowers are stitched on felt.

Can I exchange a masks if it does not fit?

No, all masks are not returnable due to health and hygiene. Each mask listing has dimensions for each size along with instructions on how to measure for proper sizing. If the wrong size was sent by mistake, do not open package, convo me and we will get you the right size that you ordered.
